Tri Delta and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Delta Delta Delta Fraternity (Tri Delta) officially adopted St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in November 1999, providing members the opportunity to unite in support of a children's cancer charity. In 2014, Tri Delta committed to raising $60 million in 10 years o name the Tri Delta Place, the on-campus, short-term housing facility at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To date, Tri Delta members have raised more than $34 million for the children at St. Jude.
The Theta Zeta chapter at The University of Texas at Austin has had a long-standing tradition of passion and care for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the 2016-2017 school year, our chapter raised over $159,000 for St. Jude and was named the Top Fundraising Chapter in Texas. Our goal is always to exceed the amount we raised the previous year, and we're working hard to make it happen during this 2017-2018 school year.
We plan to exceed our goal with a number of successful philanthropy events, including our annual Courtyard Cookout, the Sincerely, Yours Letter Writing Campaign and our Fall Parents Weekend Silent Auction. Thus far in the year, we have already held a wildly successful Silent Auction raising over $68,000 in one night for the patients at St. Jude! We are so thankful to the philanthropy team, parents, donors, businesses, and everyone else that made our Silent Auction such a success for the St. Jude community.
